Structured data from public procurement records

Status: in development. Applied Data Factory is a developing commercial product line. Its datasets and research products are not yet generally available, and it has no published customer deployments.

Focus areas

What the initiative works on

Procurement intelligence

Historical award and pricing analysis, and procurement-category analysis, drawn from official federal procurement and award records.

Structured, analytical datasets

Records normalized into consistent structures that can be analyzed, compared and refreshed.

Scientific procurement research

Research and analytics on the procurement of scientific and laboratory products.

Approach

Repeatable, traceable data processing

The initiative grew out of Washa's federal procurement experience. It applies the same discipline to data: every record should be traceable to its source, and gaps should be visible rather than hidden.

  • Normalization of records from official public sources
  • Validation and quality-control checks at each stage
  • Source traceability and provenance for every record
  • Explicit handling of missing or conflicting data
  • Scheduled, repeatable processing workflows
